How to Launch at Lake Berryessa
As of May 16, 2025 Launch Ramps at Lake Berryessa will honor any sealed vessels meeting the following criteria:


Green Seal from Lake Berryessa
- You may launch at any launch ramp at Lake Berryessa if you have a green Lake Berryessa seal.
- Please note the following exceptions:
- Seals from other agencies, or states, that have been applied to a watercraft for a period of 30 days or longer and are recorded in the WID system. These seals may be any color;
- Seals from a waterbody or state that does not use the WID system will be accepted if the seal had been applied to the watercraft for a period of 30 days or longer, and is accompanied by a physical paper receipt.
Red 30-Day Quarantine Seal
- You have a 30 day red quaratine seal from any agency, recorded as having completed a 30-day quarantine in the WID system;
- Please note the following:
- Seals from other agencies, or states, that have been applied to a watercraft for a period of 30 days or longer and are recorded in the WID. These seals may be any color;
- Seals from a waterbody or state that does not use the WID system will be accepted if the seal had been applied to the watercraft for a period of 30 days or longer, and is accompanied by a physical paper receipt.
Proof of Decontamination
- Proof of a hot-water decontamination from Solano County Water Agency or affiliated partners (Markley Cove, Putah Canyon, Pleasure Cove), or from Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe Blue Seals
- Lake Tahoe Blue seals will be acepted due to the longevity and robustness of the Lake Tahoe AIS prevention and decontamination program.
Where Can I Get My Red Seals?
You can get your red seal applied for free at the following sites:

- Family Marine: 265 Benton Court, Suisun City, CA 94585, Monday- Friday 9am-3pm, Saturday by appointment only (Please call ahead at 707-673-2700)
- Sweeney’s Sports: 835 Lincoln Avenue, Napa, CA 94558, Tuesday-Saturday by appointment only, 2pm-5pm. (Please call ahead to make an appointment at 707-255-5544)
- A Small Fishing Boat: 11383 Pyrites Way, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670, Tuesday – Friday: 9:00am – 5:00pm, Saturday: 10:00am – 4:00pm (Please call ahead at 916-737-2628 to make sure that the store is open).

Where Can I Get My Green Seals?
When you have concluded your 30-day quarantine, you may launch at a site in Lake Berryessa with a RED seal still attached to your boat. A concessionaire will be able to remove that seal and the watercraft will be allowed to launch. A GREEN seal will be placed on your watercraft upon departure from Lake Berryessa.
Please note that to receive the GREEN seal, your boat must depart the lake during regular concessionaire hours.

How to Schedule a Watercraft Decontamination
Decontaminations are by appointment only. No walk-ins allowed.

Scheduling a decontamination is free, however, a credit card is required to hold the reservation. There is a $103.3 fee for no shows and cancellations with less than 24 hours notice. Due to the high number of no shows and the increased demand, a fee has been instituted. In order to cancel in advance, please use the cancellation or reschedule feature found in your confirmation email.
Starting Saturday May 24, two decontamination stations will be available on weekends at Lake Solano County Park. The remainder of the week, only one station will be available for appointments.

Decontamination Fees at Lake Solano County Park
Watercraft Decontamination Fees:
- Simple Decontamination (1 system and open bilge) – $60
- Additional Jet-ski – $30
- Example: Jet ski, small boat single motor w/ no floorboards or compartments
- Intermediate Decontamination (2-3 systems including enclosed bilge) – $120
- Example: Bass boat, larger aluminum fishing boat, pontoon boat, bow-rider, ski boat w/no ballast
- Complex Decontamination (4 -5 Systems) – $170
- Example: Wakeboard boat, cabin cruiser, ski boat with ballast, houseboat, multi-engine speed boat
Ballast Tank Decontamination Fees: These fees are in addition to any watercraft decontamination fees
- Empty Ballast Tank Decontamination Fee (per boat) – $30
- These fees are additional to any decontamination Fee
- Undrained Ballast tank Decontamination Fee (per boat) – $60
Vessels over 30 feet – $10 per foot over 30 feet.
Add-ons: $30 per system beyond 5 systems (additional raw-water intakes and compartments)
