Celebrate their return on Saturday, November 7th. Enjoy live music, food trucks, and plenty of family friendly vendors!

About:

The event is held every year to honor the return of the Fall-Run Chinook Salmon (also known as King Salmon) to Putah Creek.

In 2000, the Putah Creek Accord established a minimum streamflow to the Lower Putah Creek. This allowed for the maintenence of the creek and encouraged the return of native Chinook Salmon. In 2014, Chinook Salmon returned in significant numbers for the first time since the building of the Monticello Dam around 2016. Last fall, over 2,000 salmon were recorded! In 2025, a recent study found that a native population of Chinook salmon have been returning to spawn in Putah Creek-showing that our collective efforts have helped encourage a native salmon run!

Help welcome the salmon on the final leg of their journey, on Saturday, November 7th!

The event will offer live music, children’s activities, food trucks, and more!
